What are mineral cosmetics?

 How is Mineral Makeup different from "traditional" makeup?

  Can I wear mineral makeup if I have allergies to other brands of makeup?

How do I apply Mineral Makeup?
All loose mineral powders can be used as eye shadow, eyeliner, lip-gloss, blush & nail polish. Mineral Foundation can be used as a concealer, powder, and sunscreen.  Setting Powder will absorb excess oils when used alone or over foundations.

Start with clean dry bare skin, if you applied moisturizer, wait until it has been completely absorbed.

Use a good quality mineral makeup brush.

Tap a small amount of minerals in to the jar lid, dip your brush and swirl into the lid until the minerals are absorbed into your brush.

Tap the brush on side of jar to remove any excess minerals, or tap the handle of brush onto counter so the minerals go into the bristles.

Blend the minerals around your face until you have the coverage you want. For smaller areas use a contour brush and apply minerals under eyes and around nose. Blending foundation with a small brush around nose will help to conceal large pores.

Then do the same with your finishing powder (if required).

Finally apply the blush in the same method to your cheeks.

For best results Apply in light layers and use a different brush for different minerals.

Mica: This is an age old cosmetic used as long ago as the Egyptians. It is an almost colorless mineral that occurs naturally in the Earth’s surface.

Iron Oxides: These minerals are what adds color to makeup. They are natural salts that have been oxidized in water.

Serecite: This is a fluffy translucent mineral that can be used alone as a setting powder, and provides a silky texture to a foundation.
